To further support this high-growth business, the board are looking to further invest in their commercial finance team with the appointment of another Commercial Finance/FP&A Analyst who will report to the Commercial Finance/FP&A Manager.

The main scope of this role is to work as a business partner with Sales and as part of the team, you will take responsibility for the business performance analysis across several strategic high-growth European and Middle Eastern markets.

Working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain senior managers and Directors you will analyse, review and challenge current figures (P&L) vs budget, forecast and previous year results. Additionally, you will review and monitor trade pricing, promotion plan and marketing investment monies against agreed budgets and to ensure appropriate ROI.

This is a central role where you will have the power to challenge and influence the market working as a Commercial Finance business partner, by analysing price, promotion plan, marketing activities. You will also have a deep understanding about the P&L by brand, country and region and head up potential risk and opportunity in the plan. You will therefore report, present and influence the strategic business agenda by providing insights and influence senior level leadership with the aim to increase business profitability. This position has also a combined role to FP&A routines, by deep-diving into variance analysis to understand price, mix and volume impact, supporting monthly reports to US.

With a minimum of 4 years financial analysis experience gained in a reputable FMCG business, partially qualified and/or studying, you are now looking to take a step up in your career into a more central business finance influencing position.

Ideally you are working as a Commercial Finance Analyst, or part of a Revenue Management team, but either way you are strongly attached to the commercial team and understand the key trading dynamics associated with modern FMCG-led systems and processes.

Clearly you love dealing with numbers, but more than that, you have a natural ability to see both trends and future business vision possibilities together with the capability to effectively communicate and influence at all management levels.

So, if you can multitask, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, have great attention to detail and can see the ‘bigger picture’ through your business analysis work plus you want to join a growing highly collaborative ‘serious/fun’ mix business culture, this could be the career move you are looking for!
