Our client is a highly successful, well-invested $500million global confectionery business. With headquarters in the US, the UK-based international office is responsible for sales and marketing for the UK, Europe, Asia and Australasia. Having more than doubled sales through these markets over the last 5 years, they’re on target to do the same again by 2028.

The UK office is a high-octane environment, fuelled by a highly effective collaboration of sales & marketing dynamos who work together with pace, enthusiasm and a clear, well-invested, brand-led marketing strategy, driven by consumer insight-led, product innovative brand communications. Focused on the fun factor as well as flavour, their iconic brands are the most talked about sweets in the playground among 4-16 year olds. Last year, their best-seller generated over €100million, whilst the rest of the portfolio enjoyed an impressive 61% year-on-year growth.

So the brands are flying, and to build on their momentum and success the UK division is creating a brand new role in the team – Digital Media Marketing Manager.


As a newly created position, the role is yours to mould from the start. No shoes to fill – more a vision and mission to achieve, your way. You need to be a big kid at heart, totally immersed in the fun-filled world of confectionery, able to dialogue and interact with the younger generation with ease, through their chosen channels.

The grown up stuff – you will craft and execute comprehensive digital strategies to elevate visibility of our client’s brands and captivate their target audiences in both the UK and international markets, identifying trends in media consumption and key drivers for confectionery. Working with your appointed agencies in the UK, Spain, Dubai and Japan, you will create, plan, implement, manage, analyse and report on all campaigns, working to KPIs and delivering ROI. Social media accounts set up just last year – TikTok, Youtube, Instagram and Facebook – are in their infancy, so are yours to grab, develop and grow. Think organic, paid-for, influencers and collaborations – it’s your job to nurture and make it happen. You’ll also be the wizard behind maximising the potential of in-game and TV-streaming apps and all other digital and more traditional marketing avenues such as TV (including in-store retailer channels) and OOH, as is appropriate in each geographical market.

Roles like this don’t come up very often. It’s a magic opportunity to get in at ground level, blending strategic thinking with hands-on execution, working across a variety of UK and international markets, with exciting, fun-filled brands.


Of graduate calibre, you’ve had a minimum of 2-3 years in marketing, covering both digital and social. You might currently be managing digital and social in-house for a branded FMCG food, drink or confectionery business or in children’s consumer goods – toys would be great! Or maybe you’re agency-side, the powerhouse behind multiple client brands aimed at kids and teens, and know what makes this target market tick? Either way, you can demonstrate a track record of successfully building brands through high-impact, objectives-driven digital marketing strategies and campaigns that have delivered results.

It’s a given that you understand how to leverage the opportunities of the digital marketing world inside out, managing budgets and resources, with full accountability. Experience aside, as a person you’re a highly-motivated self-starter, passionate about making a difference and making your mark. Attention to detail is your thing, and you’re both a creative and a strategic thinker, a communicator and an innovator that’s happy working solo, and can be a great team player too.

If you’re familiar with digital marketing in overseas markets it would be an advantage, but isn’t essential.
