THE COMPANY

A highly successful, well-invested, global confectionery business with a UK-based division, who have more than doubled sales over the last 5 years and are looking to do the same again by 2025 through both UK and international markets.

They have a highly collaborative sales & marketing team that works with pace, enthusiasm and a clear, well-invested, brand-led marketing strategy focused on consumer insight-led, product innovative, effective brand communications and driving targeted trade listings, distribution and promotional activities. Their brands and target consumers echo a strong sense of fun and energy which sets the cultural tone across this supportive yet driven business.

THE ROLE

As part of their investment for growth in 2022 they are looking to appoint another home-based National Account Executive. This exciting new role will take responsibility for directly managing a portfolio of high-profile accounts at head office level. You will shape brand-led trading proposals and build relationships towards developing each account, with a focus on new listings and promotional activities across the range of highly engaging, added-value and fast-selling products.

Above all, the role is about connecting with the brand’s personality and going out each day to ‘SELL’ the brand and product proposition with authority, energy, enthusiasm and ambition to achieve your commercial objectives.

The successful candidate will be fully supported by the senior commercial team and expected to step up to full NAM status within the next few years.

THE CANDIDATE

Having graduated, your career in FMCG sales has matured over the last 3-5 years within a major branded food, drink or confectionery business in Territory Sales or Business Development and you have progressed up into a Regional Account Executive or National Account Executive role. You have developed a sound understanding of modern account management activities, which must include a basic level of experience with negotiation and category insight-led, fact-based selling at head office level across any of the major retail or wholesale channels.

Alternatively, you may have developed your career in buying with a leading grocery retailer and are now looking to ‘move across the desk’ into FMCG account management.

You are seeking a career move into a more flexible working environment where you will have greater responsibly and the freedom to take commercial selling decisions and really go out and make things happen.
