My client is a multi-billion pound international food group with a market leading household brand here in the UK operating within a fast paced food product category. The UK business has achieved excellent growth from both organic and acquisitions in recent years and has a strong future investment strategy including above the line marketing activity and new product development.

As part of their continued strategic brand growth plans, they are now looking to appoint a dynamic Head of Commercial who can lead, coach and direct a team of grocery retail multiples National Account Managers. Your key focus will be to drive and develop the brand agenda within the top 4 grocery retail multiple accounts using all modern FMCG commercial selling practices focused on meeting the needs of both the trade and your own business growth objectives.

This is an exceptional career shaping opportunity that requires some specific FMCG sector commercial experience and skills, together with a personal style and the gravitas to ‘hold the floor’ up to board level both internally and externally.

Currently working at Controller, Account Director or Head of Sales level, you have a demonstrable track record of profitable sales growth achieved with the top 4 grocery retail multiples through first class team management within a recognised chilled or SSL branded food or drink business. Additionally, you have strong commercial P&L understanding along with a high level of category insight data capability to build and negotiate mutually effective trading solutions.

Above all, you are highly driven with an engaging personal style and boundless energy to lead the team to achieve both your commercial and future career goals.
