About us

We are a highly successful, US-headquartered global confectionery business with a UK-based international office. The UK-based International Commercial Sales & Marketing Team, who together with support functions, control business within all international markets outside of The Americas and Canada have seen massive growth over the last 4 years across all regions.

The UK business unit has grown substantially year-on-year, delivering double-digit growth and outperforming the wider confectionery market and will grow by another 10% in 2019. This success is the result of significant focus and investment in new product innovation, together with distribution-building initiatives across all channels. This is supported by investment in trade media and consumer insights — delivered by an intensely passionate, high-performance, UK commercial team.

The role

As a result of this continued strong performance and internal promotion we are looking to further invest in our commercial team with a number of new appointments including a dynamic and highly ambitious Senior National Account Manager who will report to the UK Sales Director.

This exciting and different SNAM ‘Plus’ role has a broad range of responsibilities including: Direct control of the leading Grocery Multiple retailers, managing our appointed northern-based sales agency as well our small direct sales drive team, with a focus on developing brand distribution and building sales volumes. These responsibilities require team leadership, strategic business planning input and hands-on major customer management, with the key business objectives being to achieve share of voice and negotiate new listings, as well as broaden store distribution agreements and brand promotional activations.

About you

Having developed your commercial career within recognised FMCG branded food or drink companies managing any of the top 4 Grocery Retail Multiple accounts, you have well-honed major customer management skills including: Consumer-lead insight category analysis to build trading proposals, JBP negotiation, brand NPD launch execution, customer relationship building and a natural flair for working cross-functionally internally to drive your business agenda results.

With a demonstrable track record of profitable brand growth achievement on your CV, you are now looking to drive your career with something different; a broader commercial role that will allow you to take more responsibility to take decisions and make things happen… not just play fiddle to others around the customer pot!

You have an open, engaging style that can easily influence and build rapport with colleagues at all management levels, together with the drive, ambition and passion focused on delivering team-led business results.
