Our client is a highly successful division of a major FMCG company operating across a number of diverse categories. The division has a strong presence in the grocery, household and healthcare categories with market leading brands. Still proudly privately owned and entrepreneurial, our client remains committed to strengthening its presence further in the FMCG sector.

The Role

Our client has some really exciting future growth plans for both existing and new brands, supported by significant marketing investment from the respective brand owners. They are now seeking a Commercial Manager to join one of their key business units.

Reporting to the Business Unit Controller, this role is high profile and will have a broad remit. You will be the key link between the brand owner, sales team and customers. You will build a strong relationship with the brand owner and create a three-year strategic plan between both parties. You will influence and implement the strategic plans across all customers and channels. Your role will manage promotional and NPD briefings to the sales team. You will also manage the promotional and pricing controls and challenge the sales forecasts. This is an exciting and challenging role that requires strong commercial acumen, clear strategic thinking and a proven track record of driving profitable growth.

About You

You are a talented NAM or junior NAM, or perhaps you have worked in MS&P, and have been thinking about your next step. This is a pivotal role in the team and to succeed you must bring strategic thinking to a dynamic business unit and be an integral stakeholder between the brand owner, sales, finance and supply chain. You are persuasive, analytical and highly commercial. You are a highly ambitious, driven individual with a personal style. FMCG experience is essential and confectionery / impulse category experience would be an added advantage.

Post COVID-19, the position will be based in their H.O in Gloucestershire, with some home working allowed, 1 – 2 days per week.
