The company

Our client is a highly successful division of a major FMCG company operating across a number of diverse categories. The company has a significant presence in the drinks category with their market leading brands. The business has identified international markets as a key driver for growth, as part of its long term strategy.

 

As a result, they are looking for an international Senior Business Development lead to join their team and to be instrumental in delivering growth across key international markets.

 

The role

This role presents a real opportunity to be at the centre of the development, design and implementation of the business’s strategy in some of the most exciting global markets.

You will have full P&L responsibility and will be accountable to deliver annual volume, revenue and profit objectives. You will be instrumental in applying their strong sales, marketing and supply chain capabilities to execute a step change in our client’s international business performance. You will lead third party distributor relationships, service existing customers and develop new business opportunities.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ FMCG experience in an international sales role. Previous drinks experience would be an advantage. More importantly the job requires a highly motivated, entrepreneurial self-starter with excellent commercial skills, strong project management experience and a strategic approach. It requires an individual who is just as skilled at ‘hunting’ for new business across the international channels as well as ‘farming’ existing customers. You will have the flexibility to travel internationally on a regular basis. You will need to demonstrate plenty of passion, energy and enthusiasm to be seriously considered.
