The Company

Our client is a well-invested, third-generation, UK based family food business with a reputation for innovative, high-quality, added-value food products and solutions with a key focus in the Bakery and Foodservice sectors. Their business continues to grow strongly both in the UK and internationally with substantial opportunities with existing and new customers through strategic product solution based innovation.

They are a multi-site manufacturing business with strong employee values and corporate responsibilities, for which they are award winning and widely recognised across the food industry.

 

The Role

As part of their continued drive for growth they are now looking to appoint a highly commercial National Account Manager. Reporting to the Foodservice Sales Director, you will also work closely with a bakery development specialist in managing a small portfolio of major customer partnership-led Foodservice wholesalers, with P&L responsibility for a sales portfolio of c.£10m. This highly influential role will involve management of all commercial aspects of these key customers, shaping the future trading strategy around both existing business and carefully targeted, new major end-user business development.

 

About You

To achieve success in this role you will need to have built your commercial career in the Foodservice sector and must include a clear demonstration of your profitable sales growth achievements selling food products into and through major wholesalers. Ideally, you have gained experience of selling added-value food solutions working with chefs, bakers or R&D teams focused on modern consumer trends and successfully achieving profitable sales growth performance.

You are well trained, highly commercial across the P&L and have the ability to both shape and influence creative, customer-led Foodservice sector route-to-market trading strategies both internally and externally, at all management levels. Furthermore, you are naturally motivated, with high levels of energy and an infectious personality that inspires and motivates others.
