The company & role
European-based, high quality beverage business with UK-based manufacturing plant, producing quality products which they market and sell c£40m into Wholesale/Foodservice and Grocery Retail major accounts.
As part of their investment for growth strategy the Head of Sales is looking to appoint an experienced National Account Manager who will take full P&L control of a small selection of the top 6 Grocery Retail Multiple accounts. This will involve working cross functionally both internally and externally with all key stakeholders, in order to drive product activities focused on achieving profitable sales growth objectives. Additionally, you will work closely with the HOS to shape and develop customer-led new business strategies with both existing and targeted new trading accounts.
The candidate
Having strongly developed your FMCG account management career within the top 6 Grocery Retail Multiple accounts within either branded or own-label drink or food companies, you have a first class understanding of what it takes to successfully deal with the major UK grocery players. Your experience includes a detailed understanding of developing and launching category-led NPD and you are comfortable in leading and influencing the business agenda to achieve profitable sales growth.
You are self driven and work to high standards, with a highly personable style that can easily connect with and influence people at all levels. The role offers a high degree of working flexibility with just 2 days per week required at the Bedfordshire-based head office, plus the management style freedom to ‘get on with the job’……. most refreshing!
