THE COMPANY

The UK division of this family-inspired business has achieved high double-digit growth sales over the last 6 years and they are striving to continue this trend as their brand grows ever popular with today’s discerning consumers looking for that everyday premium product treat.

Part of their investment for growth strategy includes the appointment of a dynamic, commercially astute NAM who has the ambition and will be fully supported to further develop their commercial career up to a more senior level role.

THE NAM ROLE

Reporting to a SNAM you will take P&L responsibility for a selection of the leading online retailers and convenience retailers, as well as having the opportunity to further develop business with targeted high street Discounter customers. This is a hands-on role where your focus will be managing all sales and profits, customer-led marketing activity budgets, JBP negotiations, promotional planning, NPD launch new listings and very importantly, building effective customer relationships.

You will be part of a friendly and commercially-focused National Accounts team who are fully supported with Marketing, Finance and Category colleagues, including market-leading tools and information to ensure you compete in their large, dynamic and high on trading opportunities category.

To encourage those who are prepared to travel for the right career move, the position offers a flexible home-based contract, with 2-days per week South East based head office attendance post-Covid.

THE CANDIDATE

Having been well trained in a large FMCG branded business with experience of directly managing retail or wholesale channel customers at head office level, you are now looking to either step up your career to full NAM level or currently working as a NAM but looking for a new challenge where you can really take proper customer responsibility, make decisions and demonstrate your skills, plus reap your rewards and full potential.

We are interested to hear candidates’ stories around ‘what and how’ they have gained commercial achievements including new listings, negotiated terms or gone the extra mile to deliver profitable sales growth within their account portfolio.

To succeed in this role you will need to be well-educated and commercially astute, with a sound understanding of the UK grocery trade dynamics. You need to be driven and energetic, possessing a highly-personable style that easily connects and works well within a motivated, highly-collaborative team culture.
