The company manufactures an extensive portfolio of well-known and iconic brands, many are US market leaders in their category, such as Skippy Peanut Butter and Muscle Milk. With a clear vision and strategy for growth, the business has now set its sights on significantly expanding its UK and European operations. Over the next few years, the company intends to invest heavily in these markets, including significant expenditure in brand marketing and importantly, people.
As a result, the company is now seeking a dynamic New Product Development Manager to generate and manage NPD and Innovation that delivers against the agreed annual targets and medium term strategy – both Brand and Own Label.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial, this role is high profile and will have full responsibility for managing the New Product Development and Innovation agenda within the business. This will involve creating a stream of insight led innovation within new categories with new and existing brands facilitated by new manufacturing partnerships. Your remit will require you to introduce and implement best in class NPD processes and procedures. In addition, you will be the link between manufacturing partners, the customer and the National Accounts team, working proactively across all the stakeholders to ensure achievement of joint sales and profit objectives.
This role will be based in the company’s Warwick based offices with regular trade / customer visits and some EU travel.
For this position, we are looking for someone of graduate calibre, with extensive Food NPD experience, likely to be a Senior Food Technologist or an existing New Product Development Manager. You will possess a good understanding of the UK Branded Grocery Trade and some International manufacturing experience would be beneficial.
