BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – FMCG

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – FMCG

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER FMCG

Competitive salary + bonus, car & benefits

The Company

Our client is a dynamic and successful division of a leading FMCG group, operating across multiple fast-paced categories including grocery, household, and healthcare. With a portfolio of market-leading brands, this privately-owned business combines the scale of a major player with the agility of an entrepreneurial organisation.

They are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their high-performing sales team. This is a field-based role, and candidates should ideally be located within reasonable commuting distance of the Midlands, where the majority of accounts are based. A valid UK driving licence is essential.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you’ll take ownership of driving growth for a range of key brands across the grocery, household, and healthcare categories. Your customer base will be broad, covering cash & carry customers, wholesalers, and retail partners, giving you real variety and scope.

Your core focus will be to build brand visibility, drive new product launches (NPD), grow volume, and expand distribution, always aligned to account and brand strategies. You’ll play a pivotal role in forecasting, financial planning, and ensuring commercial targets are met.

A big part of your success will come from developing strong, collaborative partnerships with customers. This includes local account planning, negotiating terms, and maximising A&P spend within agreed parameters. This is a hands-on commercial role that offers challenge, variety, and the chance to make a tangible impact across multiple brands and channels.

About You

We’re looking for a graduate-calibre individual with around 3 years of sales experience, ideally within the cash & carry, wholesale, or retail sectors. You’ll have a genuine passion for FMCG brands and be excited by the opportunity to make a tangible commercial impact.

This is a hands-on role with real responsibility from day one, so you’ll need to bring strong influencing skills, a proactive mindset, and the confidence to drive results. Articulate, persuasive, and self-motivated, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where initiative and ambition are truly valued.

How to Apply

If you’re excited by the opportunity to develop your career with a leading FMCG business, and have the experience and drive to match, we’d love to hear from you.
