Fast growing and dynamic e600m FMCG European group with broad range of non-food and food-based products focused on consumers’ everyday household usage needs through a range of high-quality, well-known brands and retailer own-label products.
The business has achieved substantial sales growth success over the past 5 years through both M&A and organic growth with a strong strategic vision for further growth over the next 5 years.
The UK market operates with a number of business divisions with combined sales of over €100m and are now looking to appoint an outstanding and dynamic Head of New Business Development for their Northwest based Health & Beauty and Personal Care division.
The Job
Following a strategic restructure and the appointment of a Commercial Director my client is now further investing in the Commercial team resources with this very rare and exciting broad based new role. This influential commercial position will take the lead in strategically driving the development of targeted new business initially focused on Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons accounts.
Additionally, this rather unique, new and exciting senior role will take the lead with the implementation and management of an integrated group led multi category/branded business supply partnership with a major high street discount retailer including detailed P&L performance.
The core focus of the role is to strategically build compelling brand lead propositions designed to open both new major retail accounts and help develop existing major grocery and discounter retail customer product listings and store distribution.
Reporting to the Commercial Director this role will also have the platform to support and help drive compelling commercial ‘go to market’ brand strategies supporting national account team colleagues to help achieve profitable sales growth within their customers.
About You
Does your FMCG commercial career journey to date include?………Developing your experience and skills up to a senior level role with c7-10 years managing major retail customers where you have achieved a track record of winning new business and delivering profitable sales growth? We would love to hear about your big new business win success stories!
Ideally you will have achieved this with personal care, health & beauty OR food/drink brands with experience of the leading grocery/discounter multiple retail accounts which must include either Aldi or Lidl.
You have a detailed knowledge of the UK grocery trade including a strategic understanding of how to effectively manage brand positing within Aldi / Lidl and the top 6 grocery retail multiple players. This experience and strategic awareness enables you to build and execute effective trading strategies focused on meeting the needs of both your customer and internal business objectives
Ideally blue-chip trained, you also have experience and enjoy working in smaller/medium sized UK-based FMCG companies where a strong hands-on style is the order of the day. You are highly personable, fun to be around, highly influential with all human beings and above all, are hardworking with a natural ‘Hunter’ style who both loves and is good at winning new business.
